Maison Depoivre

Picton

Experience/Attraction, Arts, French Speaking

The gallery was founded in 2013 by Vincent Depoivre and Christophe Doussot, two Frenchmen who moved to Prince Edward County. For the first years, the exhibitions were presented in a typical Ontario Century farmhouse. In 2017, the gallery was relocated in an Historical barrack of Camp Picton, a WWII airport located in Prince Edward County.

Many original elements of the 3,000 sq. ft. barrack have been preserved. The outcome is a minimalist space where shapes, colours and textures fully come to life.

Working with both local and international artists, Vincent and Christophe are well recognized for their very personal curating style.
