Town & County Road Ride Cycling Itinerary

This cycling route is a great way to explore Prince Edward County! You’ll enjoy stunning views, peaceful countryside, cute towns, and the lively food and arts scene. Start and finish in Picton, Bloomfield, or Wellington. The short distances between towns make cycling a breeze, and you’ll find everything you need along the way. Make sure to set aside some extra time to check out the local shops, cafes, wineries, and art galleries for a real taste of The County. Also available in French.

Signature Cycling Events in The County

Looking to plan your ride around one of The County’s major cycling events? These annual rides offer scenic routes, great company, and plenty of post-ride celebration.

County Gran Fondo - September 6th 2025 
Starting at Isaiah Tubbs on West Lake, the County Gran Fondo takes you through the vineyard-lined backroads, lakeside parks, and charming towns that define Prince Edward County. Riders can choose from 50 km, 100 km, or 150 km distances — all fully supported with route signage, aid stations, and a warm County welcome. You'll pass through Sandbanks Provincial Park, cruise by renowned wineries, and explore villages like Milford, Picton, and Wellington. End your ride with après-ride festivities and a chance to celebrate with fellow cyclists. 

Rotary Lilac Ride (Spring 2026) 
The Rotary Lilac Ride is a community-focused event featuring three scenic routes (25 km, 50 km, 100 km) through some of the County’s most iconic cycling areas, including Lake on the Mountain, Waupoos, and Milford. All rides begin and end at the Prince Edward Community Centre Rotary Hall in Picton, with a special 10th-anniversary loop along Main Street to start the day. Enjoy friendly checkpoints, lilac-lined roads, and a post-ride BBQ to celebrate your ride — all in support of local causes.
