Sommelier @ Large

As your personal sommelier, I will arrive at your door with everything needed to take you on a private wine tasting adventure in the comfort of your own home (or holiday home!). You will taste a varied selection of the county’s finest wines while learning about the stories behind the wines and the history of the county. You will gain a broad understanding of the region and the featured wineries. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions about all things wine-related, from the county and beyond.

This experience is perfect if you have a limited time in the county and wish to cover a broad selection from the area. Also a great way to learn about the wineries before taking a tour to visit them in person.

Time: 1.5 hours
Included: 6 wines x 2 ounces each, glassware and tasting mats provided
Other things to note:
All you have to do is block a few hours of the day. I will come to you and bring everything that you will require to enjoy a private sommelier lead tasting.

As a professional sommelier (ISG & WSET) I have worked in some of the best restaurants in Vancouver, Toronto and the UK (ask me about them!). In the days when international travel was a thing, I had the good fortune of traveling the world’s most timeless and revered wineries and vineyards. I teach multi-level WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) courses and have recently been certified as a 3iC Italian Wine Educator. Since 2018 I have called Prince Edward County home and have worked alongside some of our best winemakers helping them crush, taste and bottle; all the while, learning about the local terroir.
