H.J. McFarland Conservation Area

Experience/Attraction, Trails

This 2.8 hectare (7 acres) area provides a panoramic view of the Bay of Quinte and the escarpments and bluffs that grace its shoreline. A paid boat launch with docking facilities is available for your use. This site boasts 183 meters of shoreline. You can also picnic under a shelter, or beside the water.

In 1987 Mrs. Harvey J. McFarland graciously donated this shoreline property in memory of her late husband. Harvey J. McFarland was a former mayor and leading figure in the history Prince Edward County.

This area is located 2 km east of Picton at 12106 Highway 33 (Glenora Road). It provides an excellent stop-over for resting and picnicking.
