What are your insider tips to help people have a great trip to The County?Book your transportation if you plan on going to multiple wineries/breweries. I recommend Prince Edward County Wine Tours. Some of their drivers speak french and they are very acknowledgeable. Also, plan in advance, reservations for restaurants are highly recommended especially in the summer.

If PEC had its own anthem, what would be the perfect song to represent it?Ginette Reno : Des Croissants de Soleil (it's a Quebecois classic! a song about waking up with sunshine, love and croissant and eating happiness for breakfast)

Day 1 - 40.2km

Wellington - Waupoos - Picton

Get ready for an amazing trip through Prince Edward County, where every day is packed with new adventures and cool finds. This itinerary is your guide to a three-day exploration offering a rich tapestry of experiences for travelers seeking immersion in culture, cuisine, and natural beauty.  From hanging out by the lake to checking out the local art scene, each day is jam-packed with fun things to see and do.

Start of the itinerary

Settle in and drop your bags off at the Drake Devonshire—your home away from home for the next four days.

Grab a glass of wine next door at Huff Estates Winery and walk the trails in the sculpture garden. The grounds are licenced so you can enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy art at the same time.

I’m also a big fan of the female winemaking team; Mackenzie Brisbois, the winemaker and Brooke Taylor, the Assistant Winemaker—such cool and talented people. R.E.S.P.E.C.T!

Day 2 - 67.4km

Day 3 - 41.2km

End of the itinerary

As your trip to The County wraps up, may these three days stick with you as a reminder of how cool this place is. Until next time, farewell!

What's Your Perfect Day in The County?

First, a coffee and croissant at Beacon Bike and Brew, followed by a quick stop at the skatepark. I might stop in and browse for a graphic novel at Books and Co so that I can enjoy it later at the beach. If it's market season, I'll grab some snacks and drinks at the Picton Farmer's Market before filling my car with my dog and friends for a beach day until it's "apero" time. Then, it's off to Slake for the view and some relaxation. For dinner, I'll likely head to one of my favourite restaurants, such as Stella's Eatery or Darlings. If I still have some energy left, I'll check out a concert or art event at Base 31 or enjoy some local music – there's always a party somewhere! But I might also just chill with friends by a bonfire, gazing up at the stars.
