Reconciliation Reading Group

Macaulay Heritage Park

History & heritage, Free

Join us at Macaulay House from 1-3pm on February 8th for the fourth meeting of the Reconciliation Reading Group. The book is Niigaan Sinclair’s "Wînipêk: Visions of Canada from an Indigenous Centre."

From the publisher’s website:
"Niigaan Sinclair has been called provocative, revolutionary, and one of this country's most influential thinkers on the issues impacting Indigenous cultures, communities, and reconciliation in Canada. In his debut collection of stories, observations, and thoughts about Winnipeg, the place he calls "ground zero" of Canada's future, read about the complex history and contributions of this place alongside the radical solutions to injustice and violence found here."

The Reconciliation Reading Group is hosted by the County Museums and Prince Edward County Public Library. The book is available through the library and also for sale in paperback, Ebook and audiobook formats.

All are welcome to join in this effort of self-education in the history and promise of Treaty relations in Canada between Settler and First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Please share this notice widely.
