Photography is more than just capturing images; it's about conveying emotion and energy. Forests, with their intricate textures and subtle colors, can be challenging to photograph. Traditional techniques often result in flat, lifeless images. Through experimentation, I discovered that intentional camera movement (ICM) and using the correct medium, in this case, brushed aluminum, brings life to forest photography. By moving the camera during exposure, I'm able to create dynamic images that reflect the forest's vitality. Techniques like slow shutter speeds, controlled movement, and intentional composition help capture the energy of the woods. This approach transforms static scenes into vibrant, expressive photographs, inviting viewers to experience the forest's spirit in a new way. Photography is a journey of discovery, and this process has enabled me to infuse my forest images with life and energy.
