Mini Encaustic Painting Workshop

workshop, students of all skill levels will learn the ancient technique of painting with melted beeswax! Instructor Andrew Csafordi is a professional artist/illustrator with experience educating and supporting students. He will offer technical knowledge, encouragement and valuable techniques to help make your painting experience fun and relaxing. A very friendly wax medium, the fast drying time allows one to create captivating works that will ignite the imagination. The results will delight and surprise you!

This workshop is designed for people of all ages and skills level. No experience is necessary. Relax and be inspired while painting in a beautiful relaxing environment in the tranquil countryside. ​All Workshops take place in the ANDARA studio..

In this workshop, you will learn:
About the ancient Greek encaustic painting technique that uses natural aromatic melted beeswax and oil paint mixed in for colour.

How to apply warm liquid wax to a wooden surface with brushes
How to gently fuse each layer using heat, resulting in a luminescent painting.
Several techniques for adding dimension, pattern and shapes into the wax.
Create several small works to take home.​

TIMES:
A three-hour Encaustic Painting Workshop is available Saturday from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. We require a minimum of 2 participants for a workshop to proceed. If you have a group of 2-6 persons, please contact us directly to discuss your preferred workshop date and time.

COST:
$195 per person + HST ($25.35) = $220.35 CDN.
A minimum of 2 persons is required in order for the workshop to proceed. A maximum 6 persons can participate. Fee is due in full upon registration. E-Transfer is preferred. We also accept Visa & Mastercard. Teens ages 13+ must be accompanied by an adult. Both teen and accompanying adult must pay the full fee.
