Paul Sabyan

Melt Studio and Gallery

Arts & culture, Family friendly, Free

Step into a world where nostalgia intertwines with the intricate threads of history in 365 Days of a History of England, an evocative exhibition by artist Paul Sabyan. This captivating collection invites viewers to embark on a journey through time, challenging their perceptions of travel, history, and architecture.
Over the course of one year, Paul Sabyan meticulously crafted a series of 4 x 6-inch panels, each a unique reflection on a specific day. Drawing inspiration from an unloved tome, A History of England, he transformed its forgotten fragments into a vibrant tapestry of art. Each panel tells a story, weaving together the past and present, as it captures the essence of moments that shaped the nation.

365 Days of a History of England is more than an exhibition; it is a celebration of memory, craftsmanship, and the enduring power of storytelling. Join us in exploring the nuances of history and the echoes of the past that continue to shape our world today.

The exhibition will run from August 15–September 8, 2024. Please join us for the opening reception on August 17, from 1–4 pm. All are welcome!
