Hallowell
This conservation area is named after the late William Macaulay, the son of a United Empire Loyalist, who donated much of the land where Picton is located today. Hikers and picnickers will have plenty to see and explore from the famed Birdhouse City, to the 20km of hiking trails, and all the way up to the steep east-west escarpment on this 178 hectare (440 acre) property.
In Picton, take Bridge Street, then Union Street to 224 County Road 8 on the eastern outskirts of Picton.

We acknowledge that Prince Edward County rests within the ancestral lands and waters stewarded by the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg (Mississauga), Huron Wendat, and Haudenosaunee. This is a place shaped by their presence, languages, and care since time immemorial. To acknowledge this land is to recognize our responsibility to live as good relatives with each other, with the earth, and with the generations yet to come.
