Overshot - Knowledge in the Cloth

Join us on September 4th at 1pm with textile artist Viktoria Brave, as she wraps up her summer-long residency at Rose House Museum.

Viktoria will share her process of reverse-engineering an Overshot blanket from the museum’s collection, along with some of the discoveries and challenges she encountered along the way.

Viktoria says "Overshot -- Knowledge in the Cloth" is “a presentation of insights and difficulties that I encountered in my attempt to reverse-design a piece of Overshot blanket from the Rose House Museum. To say the least, there was a very talented weaver in the Waupoos area at some point in the late 1800s.”

This event takes place September 4th at 1pm, at Rose House Museum (3333 County Road 8, Waupoos).
