Location: Off County Road 7 Water Access: Bay of Quinte via Prinyer’s Cove Situated within a peaceful greenspace, Prinyer’s Cove Municipal Boat Launch offers scenic access to the Bay of Quinte and Lake Ontario. Ideal for paddlers, small boaters, and families, this launch combines water access with outdoor amenities like a playground and open parkland, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. Launch Features: Concrete Ramp: The 8-metre ramp extends from a flat gravel staging area. Entry and exit are supported by a 2-metre concrete pad. Water typically reaches halfway down the ramp, but conditions vary, and the exposed ramp extension may limit access for deeper-draft boats. Dock: A 10-metre fixed wood dock with a sturdy metal frame is available for loading and tie-off. It includes 6 cleats (3 on each side) for secure mooring. Fairway Space: Boaters will find a clear fairway of 15+ metres, offering plenty of room for safe maneuvering. On-Site Amenities: Parking Portable washroom Playground Open greenspace for relaxing or picnicking Important Notes: Clockwise Access: The ramp is accessed from a clockwise approach, which may be more challenging for some trailers. Ramp Condition: The existing ramp is functional but aging, and a full replacement is recommended. Launching may require additional caution, especially for larger vessels. Shallow Water: Depth at the toe of the ramp is very low (0 cm), making it better suited for small boats, canoes, or kayaks, particularly during periods of lower water levels.
