Welcome to Old Milford House, a beautifully restored 150-year-old farmhouse nestled on three private acres in Prince Edward County, where old-world charm meets modern comfort.

Set among mature trees and bordered by protected conservation land, Old Milford House offers the rare feeling of having space to truly get away—while still being close to everything that makes the County special. Picton’s restaurants and boutiques, local wineries and breweries, beaches, Sandbanks and Base31 are all within easy reach.

Old Milford House was designed as a holiday home first and foremost—a place where families and friends can come together, spread out and actually enjoy being in the same house.

The home has four bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests, with plenty of room for everyone to find their own space. Rather than one large open-concept room, the house has distinct spaces that invite you to move from one experience to the next: morning coffee in the kitchen, a lazy afternoon in the parlour, games in the family room and long dinners around the grand dining table.

The interiors blend vintage character, collected antiques and modern comforts, giving the house the feeling of a much-loved country home rather than a vacation rental designed to look like one.

The Parlour

A little old-fashioned, a little romantic and wonderfully cozy. Put a record on, curl up on the antique sofa, enjoy a glass of wine or settle in with a book. It’s the kind of room that encourages you to linger.

The Family Room

This is where the kids—and probably the adults—will spend a lot of time. There’s a large TV, retro Nintendo, foosball, board games, a reading nook and plenty of space to hang out together.

The Grand Dining Room

Gather everyone around the table for breakfast, dinner, a birthday celebration or a long evening that starts with dinner and somehow turns into hours of conversation. The dining room seats up to 12 and is made for memorable meals.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from morning pancakes to a County-inspired dinner. There’s plenty of room to cook together, and the house is stocked with the essentials to make preparing meals easy.

Three acres to call your own

Outside, Old Milford House opens up into three acres of private countryside, bordered by protected conservation land.

There’s room for kids to run, games to be played and quiet corners to disappear into.

Enjoy a game of basketball, challenge the family to a little backyard competition, gather around the firepit in the evening or simply wander the property with your morning coffee.

And in the warmer months, the private pool becomes the centre of the action—perfect for long afternoons spent swimming, reading and doing absolutely nothing.

The outdoor kitchen

One of our favourite features is the large wood-fired outdoor oven, where dinner becomes an experience.

Make your own pizzas, gather around the fire while they cook and pour another glass of wine while everyone waits for the next one.

There’s something about cooking outside that makes an ordinary dinner feel like a holiday.

A little time to unwind

Our cedar sauna offers another way to slow down, particularly during the colder months.

Take a winter walk through the countryside, warm up in the sauna, then settle beside the fire with a glass of wine. Or simply enjoy a quiet sauna session after a day exploring the County.

Summer at Old Milford House

Summer brings a completely different rhythm.

Spend the afternoon beside the pool, play basketball, gather on the screened-in porch for dinner, fire up the pizza oven and watch the sun disappear over the countryside.

The screened-in porch gives you a beautiful place to dine outdoors without worrying about the bugs, while the BBQ and outdoor oven make summer meals easy and wonderfully social.

And winter has its own magic

Winter is when Old Milford House becomes particularly cozy.

Think snowy walks, fireside evenings, sauna sessions, record-playing in the parlour, board games, big breakfasts, long dinners and children happily disappearing into the games room. And if you're up for a bit of shoveling, prep the seasonal pond for a winter skate!

It's a wonderful place for a family winter getaway, a friends' weekend or a quiet County escape—especially when the goal is simply to slow down.

When you do decide to leave the house, you'll have the best of Prince Edward County nearby.

Spend the day exploring wineries and breweries, browse the shops and restaurants in Picton, head to the beaches of Sandbanks, catch live music at Base31 or simply take the scenic roads through the countryside.
