The County
For 40 years, the Prince Edward County Arts Council has been connecting residents and visitors to the arts by producing beloved events, such as: Art in the County, the PEC Studio Tour and The Maker's Hand. Today, we are an anchor organization with a growing membership, offering a wide variety of activities and services throughout the year, including at the County Arts Lab. Our goal is to ensure that artists can continue to fuel the creative spirit that defines Prince Edward County. Through the County Arts Lab, we:
provide local artists with the space, equipment, and opportunities they need to create and share new art with the world
inspire and enhance the well-being of our community by creating and catalyzing artist-led, accessible arts experiences and learning opportunities
and so much more!
We acknowledge that Prince Edward County rests within the ancestral lands and waters stewarded by the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg (Mississauga), Huron Wendat, and Haudenosaunee. This is a place shaped by their presence, languages, and care since time immemorial. To acknowledge this land is to recognize our responsibility to live as good relatives with each other, with the earth, and with the generations yet to come.
