PEPtBO is a conservation organization that studies, monitors, and reports on the migration, breeding patterns and ecosystems of birds throughout Prince Edward County. Our work protects birds and their habitat through research, advocacy, and education.

We’re a volunteer-run charity, with an active bird migration monitoring station since 1995. We’re members of the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network and caretakers for the globally significant Prince Edward County South Shore Important Bird Area.
We acknowledge that Prince Edward County rests within the ancestral lands and waters stewarded by the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg (Mississauga), Huron Wendat, and Haudenosaunee. This is a place shaped by their presence, languages, and care since time immemorial. To acknowledge this land is to recognize our responsibility to live as good relatives with each other, with the earth, and with the generations yet to come.
