OFF SEASON. PEAK COUNTY.
Come when the lake is louder than the traffic, the winemaker has time to talk, and dinner doesn’t need to end.

GOOD TO KNOW
Main-street rooms, grocery stores, trails and a smaller group of studios, tasting rooms and kitchens stay open. Thursday through Sunday is the most reliable rhythm; always check the operator's hours the same day.
Driving is the practical way to arrive and explore: about 2h 20m from Toronto, 1h from Kingston and 2h 30m from Ottawa. The Glenora ferry runs year-round but can pause in heavy ice; the Loyalist Parkway is the reliable alternative.
The Off Season runs November through March, and it's the stretch when The County is most available: rooms are easier to get, tables are easier to book, and the people behind them have time to talk. The summer version of the place goes quiet, and a different set of things runs instead — saunas and firesides, fondue in a barn, snowshoes through the vines.
It’s a little something extra to make your County getaway even better. From special accommodation rates and stay-longer perks to hands-on workshops, and one-of-a-kind activities, these offers give you even more reasons to visit between November and March. Some are only available during the off-season. Others are simply better enjoyed when there's a little more room to slow down, explore and make the most of your time in The County.
