🌿Step into Nature at South Shore Fest!🌿

Prince Edward County’s early‑summer celebration returns with a full day of discovery, learning, and local spirit.

✨ 9 AM to 2 PM - Explore & Learn

• Wander through interactive displays from leading environmental groups across the grounds.
• Join guided walks with South Shore Footpath volunteers starting near the main entrance—perfect for uncovering hidden gems and favourite South Shore spots.
• Learn about the night sky, light pollution, and catch a rare chance to view the sun through high‑powered telescopes with experts from the Royal Astronomical Society 🌞🔭.

🌊 10:30 am - presentation by Terry Sprague, an author and a leading voice for conservation in Prince Edward County.

🐦 10 AM to 2 PM - Let the kids dive into hands‑on displays and creative crafts in the children’s tent with Wild Thing educator.

🍔 Eat, Relax & Enjoy

  • Grab a snack from Oak Bluff Arts.

  • Savour lunch from Big Mike’s Barbeque in the picnic area.

  • Settle in for live lunchtime music at noon on the lighthouse stage with Kyra &Tully.

  • Visit and learn about the Miyawaki forest adjacent to the Fort Kente reproduction.

  • Walk the South Shore at Mariners Park. Follow a meandering path with stops describing each of the special and unique places in the SSJI South Shore Map.

🌌 8 PM to 11 PM - Laser Guided Sky Tour with RASC

  • Return at 8 PM for a spectacular laser‑guided Star Show with the Royal Astronomical Society—an unforgettable way to end your day under the South Shore sky ✨
