WINTER: New Paintings by Fiona Ackerman

Oeno Gallery presents WINTER, a new collection of contemporary paintings by Canadian artist Fiona Ackerman. The stark, silent beauty of a snowy landscape takes Ackerman back to sweet childhood memories in Prince Edward County. Living in Vancouver, her experience of winter’s magic has changed—it is now more about the poetry of fading light and a muted palette.

“Through painting, I am preserving the cold. Visiting that dark winter, the hidden bulk of the iceberg that is Canada. Like cold, you know it in your bones.” Fiona Ackerman

Opening reception: November 14, 2–4 pm. Artist in attendance.
