‘Emergence' is my first solo show of figurative and socially-engaged quilts. Symbolically rich, spiritually grounded, and boldly colourful, my quilts express the journey of a Soul —from incarnating on Earth, witnessing elements of our contemporary social context and awakening in our co-creative role as human beings.
Where: County Arts Lab — 206 Main St. West, Unit 2E (Armoury), Picton. When: Running from July 17th to 27th — 10am to 6pm Opening reception: Wednesday July 16th, 4-7pm Artist talk: Saturday July 19th, 2pm.
We acknowledge that Prince Edward County rests within the ancestral lands and waters stewarded by the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg (Mississauga), Huron Wendat, and Haudenosaunee. This is a place shaped by their presence, languages, and care since time immemorial. To acknowledge this land is to recognize our responsibility to live as good relatives with each other, with the earth, and with the generations yet to come.
