2026 Starry Nights with Saw-whets
The County
$35
From September 20 through November 7, PEPtBO’s nighttime migration monitoring focuses on the Northern Saw-whet Owl, one of North America’s most frequently banded owl species.
Tiny, elusive, and endlessly captivating, Saw-whet Owls are a favourite among birders of all ages and experience levels.
This year we are offering 14 public owl-viewing evenings. During each evening, participants will enjoy an informative presentation by our experienced team while also observing the banding of this species up close.
Because owl banding does not take place in rain or high winds, we’ll notify you by 12pm if an evening needs to be moved to its rain date.
Come discover the magic of Saw-whet migration!
