By: Visit the County Updated: August 14, 2025

If you’ve got a thing for fresh produce, cozy vibes, and the kind of shopping where you leave with a handmade candle, a basket of squash, and maybe a caramel apple in hand—welcome to Fall in Prince Edward County. This is where market mornings turn into cider afternoons, farm stands tempt you to pull over “just for a minute,” and charming little shops somehow convince you that yes, you do need another artisanal jam. It’s all part of The County charm— and we’re here for it.

Shop the Harvest

Fall in The County is basically a harvest-lover’s dream come true. Think overflowing farm stands, cozy roadside markets, and enough squash and apples to make your inner home chef giddy. From juicy corn to those first glorious butternuts, the produce is peak and the feeling is full-on festive. You’ll want to pull over more than once as you drive around — trust us, PEC farm stands are irresistible this time of year.

Be sure to stop by Langridge’s Fresh Produce along Sandy Hook Road for their displays of pumpkins and squash in all shapes and sizes. While you’re in the neighbourhood, stop by Lockyer's Country Gardens for some potted mums to complete your fall porch-scape. Other stands worth checking out include Hagerman's Farms, Laundry Farms, Lakeshore Farms Market, Van Grootheest Farm, and Fosterholm Farmers— perfect for a visit after a fall walk on the beach at Sandbanks.
